The following are the brief steps to set up a dual boot environment on your PC to run both windows 7 and XP or vista.

· Shrink your hard drive
· Create a new volume from the unallocated space (you need a minimum capacity of 16gigs )
· Make a bootable windows 7 DVD.If you don’t have a DVD drive, you can mount ISO

·Finally install windows 7 from the DVD or USB disk installer
